Mick holds a Master of Commerce from the University of New South Wales and a Bachelor of Accountancy from the National University of Singapore. He is a fellow member of both the Institute of Chartered Accountants in Australia (ICAA) and the Australian Society of Certified Practising Accountants, as well as a practising member of the Institute of Certified Public Accountants of Singapore (ICPAS).

Mick has some 30 years of professional accountancy experience having worked in large international accounting and audit firms in Australia and Singapore. Mick joined Moore Stephens LLP Singapore in 1989 as Senior Partner specialising in audit and corporate finance. He is currently on the Board of Moore Stephens Asia Pacific Limited.

During his career, Mick has led audits of large multinational corporations in addition to various corporate finance and corporate advisory projects.

Mick was previously the Vice President of the ICPAS where he also held the position of Chairman of its Accounting Standards Committee. Additionally, he has been on the boards of several listed companies and was a council member of the Singapore Confederation of Industries.
